Nawaz Hussain Sikander successfully represented the Sponsors and the Concessionaire in M9 – N5 Link Road Project. The Project is the first-ever Public-Private Partnership project being implemented solely through the injection of equity. The main objective of the Project is to provide an improved and safer route for traffic moving from National Highway, N-5 to the M-9 Motorway and vice versa and thereby avoid the movement of traffic through congested areas in Malir, Bin Qasim, and Landhi Towns.
As part of its engagement, NHS has been intrinsically involved in negotiating various key project agreements with counterparties including, inter alia, the concession, the engineering, procurement and construction, third-party monitoring, and operations and maintenance agreements.
NHS’s team comprising Imran Nawaz Memon (Partner), Mehrunnissa Katpar (Managing Associate) and Umed A. Khamisani (Associate) represented the Concessionaire in the transaction.
